Rear Addition (Framing Stage)
A single-room addition on a classic Denver brick bungalow — tying new framing into existing masonry, with the addition opening cleanly to the home's main living space.
The owners wanted more square footage off the back of their bungalow without losing the character of the original brick exterior. We engineered the structural tie-in to existing masonry, framed the addition, and integrated the new roof line so the addition reads as if it had always been there.
What we did
- Foundation prep and structural tie-in to existing masonry
- Framing for a single-room addition above the existing footprint
- Roof framing tied into the original roof plane
- Sheathing and weather protection for the build
- Coordinated with City and County of Denver inspectors for the addition permit set
- Existing brick preserved and protected throughout
Notes
This page shows the framing stage. We post additions like this to give a real look at what mid-build progress actually looks like — clean framing, square corners, protection of the existing structure.
